Aidan anonymously worked with the Leela Chess Zero (Lc0) team from 2018 to 2020 on benchmarking and model topology (not as a developer). Leela Chess Zero won the TCEC world championship in 2019 and 2020.
AidanBench is a large language model creativity benchmark created by Aidan McLaughlin, James Campbell, and Anuja Uppuluri. You can find the code for it here. AidanBench was accepted to NeurIPS and will drop on Arxiv soon.
Aidan is from Buffalo, New York and spends time in San Francisco, Berkeley, Palo Alto, New York City, and Buffalo. Aidan enjoys Wittgenstein, Vegan activism, violin, piano, Spikeball, and distance running.
Aidan was the president of Miami University’s Chess Team, and plays in USCF. Aidan ranked #3000 internationally in Clash Royale. Before research at Topology, Aidan worked on multi-agent reinforcement learning and RL for internet graph exploration.
